ok, this will take you through the set up of a online server.. But first you have to have followed the guide for a offline server.

Ok,

Now that you have a offline server running its rather simple to make it a online server.

Step 1, Close your server if it is running.

2. Open your Wow server folder and open wowemu.key.

3. Open whatismyip.org, the number it shows is your external ip address.
For every one again.

4. Take this ip that you found and paste it over the number that is by the ws_host, so you might have 127.0.0.1 there, you wanna put the one from whatismyip.org there.

5. If you dont have a router all you have left to do is change the realmlists to that external ip that you found.

6. If you do have a router keep reading. Now you need to forward some ports. (If you dont know how to, go to portfoward.com, find your router make and model and choose any one of the guides, but ingore the ports they have there.)
Now you need to foward ports 2000-4000 and 7000-10000 both UDP and TCP

7. Now once you have the ports fowarded change your realmlists to the external ip and you can connect.

Your account creation page will be the same for both people with and with out routers, take that extrnal ip that you found and put http:// on the front and :8080 on the back.

So an example would be,
if my external ip was 123.123.123.123 the account creation page would be at http://123.123.123.123:8080

I've downloaded your 4.0 pack (runnig the funserver version).

I got some problems making it work. I'm running the server on another computer in my network, and I put that computer in DMZ so I don't have to worry about opening ports.

When trying to log into to the server I get stuck on "Logging in to Game server".

I've followed the guide. I've tried using both external/internal IP in wowemu.key

I'm also not able to access my signup page (404 error), I've tried all combinations (internal, external)http://localhost:8080, 127.0.0.1:8080 etc.

I'm connecting with enUS WoW 1.11.1 with the July addons+1.11.1 hack from your website, made sure both my realmlists are correct as well.


Any ideas?

While browsing around on other WoWEmu sites I read I should try setting up an account at no-ip.com and use that.

And much to my surprise, it solved the problem with being stuck at "Logging in to game server".
