try this chad, delete the account you have on the server now and with IE go to 127.0.0.1:8080 and create the account again. Then try to log in


delete it with teh dbutil in the server folder

ok, to fix this follow this guide..


1) Click Start -> Control Panel -> Network connections
2) Right click your Local Area Connection (The one under Lan or High-speed Internet) And select status
3)This will bring up a small window with two tabs.
4) Click on the "Support" tab.
5) There is an "IP Address" Section. Should be something like 192.168.x.xxx
6) Take that ip address and use it like this in IE, http://ipaddressfromabove:8080

So like mine is 192.168.1.40 it would be http://192.168.1.40:8080

also tried it on another comp i have..but i get same error.

Tried to run server on another comp..connected to same router.. edited the relmlist and key file according to my ip's .. but getting exact same thing with that..it finds account..but never gets past "authenticating"

and the 10.0.0.6:8080(comp with emu) page still reports "couldnt find server"

ok you have a router so, what I want you to do is to foward ports 2000 - 4000 and 7000 - 10000. Both udp and tcp, then use your external ip for both your key and your realmlist, find your external at whatismyip.org, and make sure BOTH your realmlists say "set realmlist xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx"

if you didnt have both realmlists set before that might have been the problem also
